Woosh, Borouge International and BlueAlp are demonstrating an industrial‑scale route to chemically recycle plastics from used baby diapers back into new polymer feedstock in Europe
Woosh, Borouge International and BlueAlp have completed an industrial‑scale trial that converts plastics recovered from used baby diapers into ISCC PLUS‑certified pyrolysis oil suitable for new polymer production, including hygiene applications.
The partners describe the project as the first demonstration at this scale in Europe of a circular pathway for diaper plastics, a waste stream that typically goes to landfill or incineration.
